ok from last week, things already got bad... to begin with

my desktop was down since last term, but din repair
my iPod is screwed, dunno why keep hanging itself and my com
then come home, my wireless router screwed up also
then i realized i lost my camera cloth which cost bout 10 bucks

i was damn pissed... but nvm kept my cool. Gonna call up Dell to repair my desktop, prob 1 solved. Sent my iPod for servicing at Apple Center, and holy shit i sent it on the LAST day of it's warrantied life. My wireless router kinda repaired a bit by tweaking the firmware, but somehow likes to disconnect itself. Alright. I found my camera cloth in the camera bag. Cool.

And I thought all was over.

Last night, i DROPPED my camera on the floor... my poor 20D. was SO loud can feel the impact as it smashed on the floor... no visible damage, except for a few white specks on one of the corner... but somehow my pictures all taken in shutter and aperture priority mode... no idea why

I think hor, after going through uni first year, i begin to develop a more analytical mind... i think deeper, and yet wider.... yeah that's good yeah. One of the great tots i have is :

I looked up at the sky... and wah lan eh bloody hot sia. Then i thought about global warming, what's the true reason for global warming? CO2 CO SO2 causing global warming... maybe true, but i think it's more like a plot by the US to jerk up oil prices. There MUST be another reason...

then i looked at the street, then i saw this hot girl... wah damn hot lar, make me feel hot also...

THAT'S IT!

HOT GIRLS are the problem... they go out onto the streets scantily clad, guys see already, heart pumping, adrenalin running, brain juice overflowing with "what-if"s, and so body temperature rise... and to lust is man, so every man's temperature rise... and women see already also jealous, rise also.... global warming!

and the story doesn't end here... can you see it's a viscous cycle? hot girls are the one causing the global warming... temperatures rise, and this gives them more reason to wear less... you see that? haiz... so i appeal to all hot girls, think bout the penguins at the North pole...

ok lar came back already, but hehe till now then blog... ok lar just to update abit

down with flu and sorethroat the moment i came back wth... damn screwed lar, but alright lar now better already

no time to go KL yet, but will go soon after i come back from singapore *yay* really want to go down lor all my friends there... and take a look around KL since i really never been there properly before. Singapore traveled almost whole country b4 already so sian... yeah so looking forward to KL!

anyways down to the main thing hanging in my mind... i REALLY want to change to a digital SLR, in layman terms, those big, geekish camera you see the pros use. After this two trips right, i really find myself limited by my olympus C770... Image quality is one thing, my camera is terrible in focusing, startup time is heavenly, lots of things lar... but what you expect from a consumer camera? so yeah... really wanna change to a digital SLR. The main camera i have in mind is Canon EOS 20D http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/eos_20d-review/

ok here's the thing... this is bloody expensive, a hefty 2500S$ or bout 6000 RM. There is a budget version of this, the very popular Canon EOS 350D Digital Rebel XT

which costs only 1800S$ or 3000+RM

the difference? 20D is bigger and heavier, but that's a good thing... since my hand so bloody big, bigger cam will give better grip, and more mass will increase stability. I hate using light cameras, especially when i use those point shooters (iXus, Dimage XT etc). And also 20D is metal, offering a better construction and thus to many, it 'feels' better than the cheap plastic of the 350D. Ok can't blame me, but i do have big concerns about construction on things i buy, my laptop my speakers my mp3 player, all i got consider construction b4 buying one... i think it's important lar body yeah

Image quality and camera performance wise it's roughly the same, in fact almost the same, with the 20D offering SLIGHTLY better performance in terms of focusing as some forum people argued, then 20D can take at 5fps 350D at 3fps, but i only amateur don't really matter to me hehehe so yeah in this aspect, doesn't really matter lar

so for a 1000 bucks more, do i want the 20D over the 350D? YES. I want a camera to last me longer lar, 350D i believe, one day i'll outgrow it, and want a better one, and 20D i believe will go a long way... i quite sure i'll regret one day if i just get the 350D now, so yeah will try out for the 20D!! been thinking of ways to tell my papa hehehe.... but i told him already lar, he said alright *cheers* he likes cameras also, he himself has a film SLR, which he bot 10 years ago and i believe it's bloody expensive one... but u see, a good camera can really last long long time... so it's a good investment! he knows the prices roughly also, and he said if i like it, and all the prices are like that, no choice one hehehehe... so yeah gotta do some research and tell him which one i want and hopefully, will go down to KL and get ^__^

long post huh.... ok maybe you thinking i'm a spoilt kid, but ehhhhh..... i don't spend much one okay, i only spend on gadgets, dun buy branded clothes, dun go club, dun do much.... so ALRIGHT lar to spend on a hobby i like, and somemore i so guai, studied SO HARD (yeah of coz i did) for exams, some reward myself a bit can? and one year buy one expensive thing, alright lar... last year was laptop, year before saxophone, this year camera, got a feeling next year car... just crossing fingers *prays* but dun think so lar that is called fat hope. so yeah... back to camera research ;)

wah ok post exam is DAMN boring lar.... came back from paris already, slept like pig for whole day omg.... anyways the trip to paris really gave me a good tan, but dunno why i look very errrrm.... dirty, when i get tanned... hahaha lame -_- anyways... going to lake district soon, this saturday, but sucks lar gotta do lotsa packing before going, and i'm damn lazy so just gonna call storage company to collect my stuff, and deliver to my house when i get back.... spoilt brat -_-

anyways since the paris trip, and after buying two perfumes for myself, i kinda like using them, somehow when u smell better, u feel more confident, i like that feeling, yeah so gonna use eau de toilettes from now on hehe.... CK Eternity summer is NICE! the new Bvlgari is nice too... actually when i was test smelling the perfumes at the departmental store, really smelled till my nose numb lor... 1) Sold my Razer Diamondback on 2nd day of arrival in UK, just 5 mins after advertising on DC++, how cools that! sold for 30 pounds when i bot for 26... reason to sell: Unwanted gift. Real reason to sell: want the blue one *whack me* who cares! not only did i not make a loss, i made profit somemore... 4 pounds! 12 sing$! 28 ringgit! hahaha

2) oh realized i din blog since my com broke down... actually my comS. here's the story: i bot an external harddisk for my fren in UK, those u buy the casing and harddisk and just plug in the HD one. Tested at lennon's comp ok... lennon's laptop ok... brot to my house, plugged in to laptop, *POOF* screen flickered flickered, like showing signs of last breath, and died... i was *shocked* then resigned to fate and sent for warranty... then on the day i came back from sending my laptop to Fujitsu, my desktop broke down -_-" WTH man... but dun care lar no time to repair desktop, so whatever....

3) *latest news* left a carton of egg in my bag, one egg broke... disaster -__-"

4) exams coming... 25th may, ended up dropping Differential Equations coz totally dun like it, but aiyah i give up trying to study in holidays... TOTALLY din do anything -_-"

5) i checked in 41kg at changi haha! rocks.. think give me face coz i frequent flyer ;) without begging somemore hehehhe.... anyways i din manage to bring my Klipsch which weight a humongous 15 heavenly KGs.... haha! this leads to point 6)

wah today spent WHOLE day at old house catching the fishes over... quite fun lar, but halfway the neighbour chased the son/nephew out of the house after some scolding and whacking, dunno why... then the guy was kneeling outside the gate begging, very drama... then just like in drama, it started to rain... and of coz kPo mel will go out and take a look lar.... not nice to say this, but was quite cool lar... damn drama sia

anyway here's the REAL cool thing... today a medium came to my house leh! anyways the story goes like that...

my house renovating mah, then one of the workers said he dreamt of a deity kicking his ass... then hor my papa got scared, tot all the renovation works offended the deity in the house... then somehow the cupboard reeks of a very strong tobacco smell or something like tt, it was just very weird lar... then papa got a medium here lor... then i still blur. just followed them up the room... then the medium just went in, said nothing wrong what... then there was a LONG moment of silence. i still dunno what's going on -___-" then she said the deity in the house din 'kick' the guy, it was the guy's own deity from his kampung... then the medium went straight to interrogate that guy... said "are you supposed to go back to ur kampung? you made a wish to ur deity rite? and u're supposed to go back and pray regularly. " and it was true leh! coz that guy prayed to his deity and was supposed to go back and pray regularly... then he din this time coz his visa not permitted... scary rite? she was 'talking' to the deities leh....

wah now i a bit freaked out... like wah, very scared... but haiz... this kinda thing, better believe than not lor

house demolition!!

finally moved out of my house for renovations... wah stayed in that house for what, 10 years? really got feelings for it lor... then when moving wah a bit sad, especially when EVERYTHING is removed from it... haha then my room was demolished in the sense that ALL furniture like cupboards tables all removed... pics above ;)

then moved here... just a few houses down... ok lar NOT bad, but old house definitely better lar hehehhee... aiyah nvm lar for the sake of making that house look better, tahan for 8 mths ;) but the design looked REAL nice on paper tho, hope it's tt nice when it's done ;)

oh and went to pluck wisdom tooth... ok lar i a bit traumatised by ops ever since my thumb flew away, so this time was a bit scared too lar definitely.... but went there, ok lar took the jab, whole mouth numb... wth man then that guy just started digging and cutting, damn disgusting, worse was when i smelled something burning, think was the gum or teeth.... DAMN horrible... took bout 1.5 hours of digging and cutting and (burning?) b4 it was done... and the stitching... hahaha but still ok coz the anaesthetic still there, then when i came back, after 5 hrs or so, KAOZ DAMN PAIN! i was really in bad mood lor.... coz of the pain... then next day whole mouth swollen, haiz miserable man... pics above -_-"

but whatever... today went to buy Razer Diamondback Precision Gaming Mouse (notice the caps) and THE Barracuda mousepad... really DAMN cool lor! precision speed smoothness all in one.... i highly recommend for fellow gamers! i bot for 125 bundled price... a bit ex, but worth it!!!

hahahaha PAI SEH!!! LOOOOOONG time no blog!! but dunno why lar... after Malaysian Night right, got REAL REAL lazy hehehe.... like whole day just slack around dunno doing what, play game and whatever... haha really wasted lor -_-" but nvm... somethings to update bout

1) went to All-England Badminton championships and watch the s'pore team get thrashed... ok lar they did put up a good fight, but really there are many much better players around, so too bad... Malaysia did well tho, 2 men's singles got into semi, but both lost to china so haiz.... China too many ppl lor

1.5) went to Manchester supposedly for Dikir Barat performance for the Deputy PM, Najib for his conference in Manchester Uni, they invited us to go, even paid for the coach to and fro, but Dikir got cancelled coz no instruments, so we just go lar!!! sat thru the whole 2hr talk in Malay, din understand a SINGLE thing, except sudden outbursts of English like "We do care for you (us)" whatever..... but he spoke in English during the Q&A, can feel the 'aura' from him hahaha... well zhai ppl like tt one ;) for that 2 hours of 'effort' we spent the rest of the day touring manchester haha... but still not enuf time! Manchester SO big!!! only went to Old Trafford (Man U stadium) and get some stuff and also to Trafford Center, this GIGANTIC shopping complex... where we saw a REAL hot girl, think M'sian, and my fren Faeez shamelessly took a pic of her while pretending to be taking a pic of us.... and she found out... too bad =(

1.9) weirdly... this time wasn't as excited to go back as last time, one thing is alot of my frens are staying here, then not as fun already.... and will miss frens in warwick too, campus life is fun lar... bored then just go find frens, go do some sports at sports center, play games till late at night, watch movie downloaded from DC++, yeah lotsa things to do ;) but well.... still gotta go home so on to point #2

Touched down on Monday S'pore time... haha was on the flight with Germaine, then the plane quite empty, so we managed to secure 4 seats for ourselves!! nice!!hehehe.... but still din sleep well ; neck butt leg back aching... but still better than one seat!!! drank lotsa alcohol on plane but still couldn't sleep... then end up watching lame movies again..... and S'pore was SO HOT!!!!! when i stepped out of airport... wanted to go back in again hahaa! wah bui tahan!!!!

2.5) and when i saw my little bro (the famous one in my msn pic) wah was really errrrm.... felt very happy lar... tt same old cheeky face, still damn cute, never changed!!! at first i tot he become damn fat already (got into TAF club) and maybe quite tall, and most prob very naughty.... but he's still the same old Ah Di.... but got quite light already somehow coz he been couging for quite long, felt quite ke lian for him lar.... but he's just damn cute lar, can't help talking bout him/playing with him/whatever.... then the others leh, still same lar... but then again, only been away for 10 weeks... hahha not very long!! haha just now was telling my sis to study harder, dun copy ppls' work in school.... but i King of copying assignments from fren lor in warwick hahahahaha

2.6) when i reached home... was expecting to see my old room again, in all its glory.... but turned out we've moved for renovation works -_-" my room became storeroom, all my stuff were gone... no clothes whatsoever!! screwed lor! rented a house down the street.... HAIZ.... then i come back for what!!! then one night i came back ran out of clothes to wear... then i wore my jeans which i wore out, went commando and went to sleep -______-" tt was BAD experience

2.65) but then again... for the sake of renovation... ok lar ;) my room gonna get changed quite a lot... haha damn funny lor my papa, dunno why so many houses around here getting renovated, then my papa say ok should do some light renovations... started off with plans to change marble floor to a lighter colour to make house brighter, then dunno why moved to make more windows, then changed to remove one staircase, then now changed to change the entire front, then now even rooms are getting changed... aiyah but nvm lar, i understand the concept of doing things if u want... like me getting speakers and sound cards and graphics and all that yeah.... so support u papa!!!!

3) 2nd day upon arrival went to Sim Lim to get speakers hahahaha!!!! made an order for Klipsch Promedia GMX A-2.1, then went to collect the next day (Tuesday) lugged the 15kg system back all the way by bus to JB hahaa!!! and know what my father said? worth it ah!!! he's quite an audiophile also.... does car audio and stuff like tt, at first tot he will say i'm nuts to bring this to UK... instead he was telling me he will help me tie up nicely so i can carry hehe.... nice one! ;) anyway bout the speakers... i not really an audiophile, and this is first time i buy good speakers... but it sure impressed me ;) especially when i played CS!!! OMG.... really blew me away!!!! hahaha.... next thing i need : Creative Audigy 2 for laptop one... haiz but really not enuf ang pow money, parents gave very little, and relatives din even give (buggers) so gotta put on thick skin, and ask papa already hehehehehe

4) went for Huang Cheng Ye Yun 2005 last night, basically it was bad lar... i slept in the 2nd play, now i understood why my own play wasn't received by everyone hehehe... with ppl like me ;) but then... for my play i think the acting was good (except for mine), for HCYY the acting was quite crap leh.... parts which were supposed to be serious turned out funny coz of the weird acting, then the 2nd play was both crap acting and crap script... but nvm lar was warned by Lennon's sis b4 hand (she's in it) tt it sucks so not bad... was prepared =D

so these were the main things that happened in my lame life after dunno how many weeks of blog-laziness.... was contemplating shutting down my blog but chris said can keep in case got things to write or just for memories... so ok lor shall carry on ;) anyway... gotta go dinner now, and buy swim trunks later.... jya ne!!!

MALAYSIAN NIGHT!!

it's OVER!!! it's FINALLY OVER!!! hahahhahahahahahhaha

ok well not entirely a great thing it's over anyway.... suffering from the Post Malaysian Night Syndrome, aka PMS now... like suddenly feel my life is so empty, kinda meaningless, back to assignments and test and what have you.... miss rehearsals, miss my cast and props and directors etc.... haha the past month's been great!!! had a great cast that i must say! cooperative... and BLOODY GOOD that i must say! (except me lar -__-") haha... miss the times when at 7 gotta rush for rehearsals.... well now just gotta stay in room and do assignments =( no way man.... but nvm, next week is week 8, and going home in week 10!!!! HOORAY!!!

anyway bout the night itself... haha the first run thru b4 the actual thing was a
NIGHTMARE!!!!! coz this was the first time we ever used the Butterworth Hall in the Arts center, so obviously din run well lar... lighting, tech, acting (mine), timing everything screwed... ppl were screaming at each other for mikes, props and basically everything... our director had the worst hit i must say... really was under lots of stress... she had to coordinate our acting, the lighting and sound... yeah tt was definitely the WORST time we had throughout the whole Malaysian Night practice =( never scolded so many vulgarities in my life before.......

but 7pm came real soon man.... amongst the chaos when the VIPS suddenly came into the hall, from the words of Ping Yuen the Tech Manager on the mic: " Let's start Malaysian Night" ... everything just began!!! the dances went up... then the speech, and the play titled " Which One Are You? " began.... 5 mins b4 the play, the actors' mike were upstairs... scared the HELL out of me... considering the fact that once i'm out there, i'll be on stage for one entire hour, but the mics came just in time... PHEW

and everything started, just like that... Nadia and Foong were the first to go up, then i was in the backlight... and the play went on and on and on............ SMOOTHLY! no mistakes! lighting apart from a few mistakes, was acceptable... sound was perfect, i remembered all my lines!! audiences' response were cool.... tho some parts i din find funny at all generated lots of laughter -__- " then we had to wait for laughter to die down before continuing... but all in all, Malaysian Night was a success!!!! and of coz proudest moment was when they called each actor on stage... yeah really felt great lar hahahaha..... and the Dikir Barat was GREAT! everyone clapped hard and shouted loud! well done guys!!!!! hopefully the video comes out well!!! i'll definitely bring it back for u guys to watch hahaha!!!

ok after everything ended... hahaha damn cool lar, i went down, and ppl were congratulating me all the way haha! got ppl i dun even know came up and say "Hey you're Pierre right?
Great acting!" then ppl asked me to take photos with them and everything... some even asked for signatures on the programme booklet hahahaha! felt damn cool lar... then when walking around ppl keep looking at me hahhaa..... well just damn cool lar! i never took SO many pics in my life b4 hahhaha! felt like celebrity for once hahahaha!!!! all in all..... COOL

but then as i said... PMS quite sianz lar... suddenly feeling so empty, miss the cast!!!! miss rehearsals!!! but then again... the night itself was cool... but the whole month of practice really took lotsa efforts lar, there were nights when i couldn't even sleep, and my lines just kept running through my head.... and kept thinking of how to improve certain lines/actions and everything.... lotsa lotsa things lar... and of coz every night only got to go back at 11+... had to rush dinner, well..... it's something that u're DAMN proud of once u're done with it, but wun wanna do it again.... like the tot of going thru auditions, then all the rehearsals, tho nostalgic, but really lotsa committment lar... but will definitely miss the cast!!! even got blood stains on my new 18 pound Adidas polo shirt... but as sarah said, nvm lar, memorable hahah!!

sometimes i wonder if ALL these was worth it.... like an entire month's of practice for just one night? well.... but to be honest lar, if next year's script is good, and there's a suitable character for me... i'll go for it ;) but depends on my workload lar.... heard yr 2 is CRAP! but will definitely join Dikir Barat though! DAMN FUN hahahhaa!! ok enough of ranting.... now to catch up on KOTOR 2 which i totally neglected since i downloaded it hehehe.... anyways CONGRATS to ALL who participated in Warwick Malaysian Night 2005!!!!! SUCCESS EVERYONE!!!! WARWICK!!!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!! and since i'm trying to learn canto... GONG HEI FAT CHOY!

haha on new year's eve went to play cards with 9 girls... SO lame, but nvm.... had fun! Heart attack... winner draw loser's face with eye shadow... then everyone looked SO lame, felt more like hungry ghost festival... but all in all had fun lar ;)

then tt night i had 3 dinners somemore... 1st one i cooked myself, 2nd i bot food, 3rd what they girls cooked... which is damn nice lar! roast chicken, chicken rendang, and some potato thingy... never hurts to join a group of girls ^_^

anyway fun din end there... the next day, i skipped all my lects (ok not a good thing to do... but then -_-" ) went to birm... shop for new clothes, and ate a REAL cool meal at Chung Ying Garden hehe... Roast duck, chinese pork chop and steamed sea bass... 46 quids for 3 of us! but again... it's new year and i'm stuck here so EAT!

and gained 2 kg after all these....

but dun care lar hehe.... but haven end yet! 3rd nite, missed the singsoc steamboat coz got acting, but went to play with them after tt.. played Murderer (not a nice game to play for the new year)... but point is : had fun! ;) tt's all tt matters hehehehe

initially was damn sad when i called back while eating CEREALS for bfast... then family having reunion dinner =( was real real real sad.... then hecked bout it, went to take my test, then go birm, then got real happy haha! esp at the restaurant.... then got lion dance! so cool! see lion dance in UK ahhaha...

anyway m'sian nite next week... and i really can't act =( damn screwed... now starting to regret liao... like i forced my way in to get this role... haiz... but can't back out now, in this one way street... so ALL THE WAY!!

haha back! lotsa fun haha! ok it din start off well.... was supposed to leave at 820 for the 924 train, i woke up at 825... jynn was SO SO pissed -_-" then had to rush to buy wine to bring over somemore.... then chiong ah! made it lar... had time to drink hot chocolate somemore.... me lucky sia ;)

anyway reached there, first place uncle brot us was to Bays Water in London... Dim Sum in some chinese restaurant... queued for sometime, but TOTALLY worth it! SO nice! even nicer than those i eat at home! WTH! will try to go there when i go london again hehe... coz really damn nice! uncle treat somemore! haha... then went to Wing Yip, some chinese supermarket to buy stuff for the dinner, then we stock up on stuff like chili and soy sauce... then was back home for the dinner!

haha long time no blog! sumimasen! busy lar hehe... acting been taking up lots of time, then after acting everyday is dikir barat... then always reach back at 10+pm... but nvm! i'm SURE it's worth it!!! got solo scenes and everything... EXCITING desu ne!!! but i WUN flop... WUN screw up... tell myself EVERYTIME hahaha!

anyway homework getting from bad to worse... totally dun understand linear algebra, and been missing Differential Equations lectues coz always at 9am somehow... then cannot wake up -_-" BUT Analysis getting interesting.... i finally learnt WTH is Differentiation! hahhha... u know F'(x^n) = nx^(n-1) this formula... not sure bout you, but I had always been taking it for granted... today finally understood how it came about... Analysis!!! not TOO bad lar... finally bot a textbook for it, so at least dun have to depend on the useless notes ;)

tomorrow going with Jynn and Michelle to High Wycombe tomorrow, remember Jynn's uncle's place? the house with the two REAL cute dogs? yeah going there for reunion dinner haha!!! well... closest thing i have to relative in UK lor... so haha why not!!! really miss home lor... HAIZ... but actually life been pretty good here, coz of acting and everything, and dikir barat practice, got to know lotsa ppl, but mainly all malaysians lar... haha just came back from Singsoc CNY dinner in Birmingham... Chung Ying Garden. FUN!! haha! 8 course meal, but the main thing wasn't the food, it was the entertainment after that when all the mahjong and card tables were set up... and all the karaoke... haha tho i just played a few rounds and din sing, was still quite fun looking at others having fun, so not bad lar ;)

there wasn't much alcohol as i expected... only had a beer coz was someone's lucky draw gift -_- and a small cup of sake... then spent the whole nite walking around, playing some dai dee and clapping for singers... but overall still fun! was a real malaysian thing lor coz so few s'poreans... but not a bad thing for me coz i know more m'sians than s'poreans, so it's cool ;)

and next week going jynn's uncle's place for reunion dinner... and her aunt cooks REAL well, and can get angpow *hopefully* in quids!! so why not!! haha really looking forward to that too...

but somehow not doing ANY work at all... CANNOT wake up these few days... always managed to convince myself to skip all 9am lectures haha! damn screwed... this morning woke up at 8.45am for my 9am lecture -_-" damn screwed... was supposed to sleep early last nite, then suddenly senior talked bout life(cs, sports and girls), one senior asked me to tell her something interesting coz she was bored... and another girl came to complain bout bf -_-" ended up sleeping at 3! haha! screwed man...

but anw yest was a SCREWED day... i woke up realizing that i lost my TopMan scarf!! 10 pounds! and DAMN good scarf! and also lost my earphone earbuds!! then cannot use liao!! =(::: then what... when i went laundry, put in 2 pounds, machine screwed up, took the money din wash... then NVM

the WORST one is....

actually i was sharing the laundry load with Jynn, coz i only wanted to wash bedsheet and pillowcase so we share lor.... then Jynn too lazy to go put clothes into dryer, so I went... but our stuff in the washer was done quite some time already, then apparently someone helped move them to the dryer so she can use... then i went there, searched around for 'my' stuff, then the girl asked if those were mine, i said "Yes" and she said she helped me put into the dryer, with a VERY weird tone... i was ok cool... then i went to take the clothes, THEN i realized what's the tone for... Jynn's undergarments all there lor! SO SO SO embarassing!!! i quickly throw all into basket, covered the top with the bedsheet... run like shit

eating LOTSA sandwiches nowadays, coz of lame schedule so sandwiches are the way to go! but my sandwiches rocks... each one bout 4cm thick, got 3-4 turkey ham,2 ham, some garlic sausage, eggs, cheese, cucumber, mayo.... ROCK! damn nice haha.... always damn satisfied, and eat 2 everytime haha!

but got diarrhoea now... so maybe have to alter recipe abit -_-"

anyway was just taking out my file i use everyday, and found a Coffee Bean paper bag inside, and a few cards inside... there's one mailed from s'pore, with "Eat, Drink and Be Merry" on the cover. There's one i presumed to be with the pink wrapping paper beside it, that says "When you go, my sadness will be overwhelming", and last but not least there were 3 ZO postcards... just read thru them, and really found it ehh... nice, to see what these ppl wrote for me. so to these ppl, hope u know who u are, thanks a lot!!!! i carry ur letters everywhere i go lor in my file! it's not coz i forgot to take out.... serious ;)

anyway rehearsals yest was fine, getting into the role... apparently Sarah was telling me i suit the role tt's why she chose me, and u know what? i starting to understand why ; this Pierre the scriptwriter is a loser!!! he's a lame, crap who's timid and useless apparently... and somehow my IMAGE suits him ;) how nice!!!!

but heck lar... even better, maybe dun need much acting, just be usual self... hahaha! ok now we're really short of time... my monologue part isn't out yet, and only have scene 1 and 2... hope we can make it... less than a month left! wo... but nvm, can one!!!

ok my little modelling stint for One World Week here wasn't tt nice at all... in fact, it was BAD

ok the s'poreans started off missing the cue from the music to start, first screwup... then everyone blurred, all just follow, screwed.... then the BIG one : i was walking down, smiling, and TRIPPED on a *&!(%&*@&# hump on the catwalk... it was really, really, really, really embarassing... there's those studio cameras up down left right, so they really take full time coverage -_- SO SO SO SO sia sui.... then my partner at the other side of the stage tripped too, think b4 me.... and to finish it, i said a rather loud 'SHIT' when i recovered

real real screwed.... but well, it WAS fun still ;) get to see really LOTS of diff ppl from diff parts of the world, coz each cultural society will send in a few models, wearing costumes to symbolize their country, then just do the fashion show.... saw LOTS of hot girls lor pai seh, all the spanish greek dancers wear so little, got korean and japanese, wah.... figures all superb one! really kept my eyes real real busy, we guys can't stop discussing haha! damn funny... but real cool lar overall, get to see so many nice costumes, especially like the brazilians, their choreography damn cool, send this 2 lamers up and doing that kind of u know, very holiday style, carribean dance.... very relaxing one, haha damn cool.... then talked to diff ppl also, indians, taiwanese etc... tho the event was screwed (for us lar), but nevertheless had fun!

and my acting rehearsals today cancelled coz i went modelling -_- so lame... but nvm tmr resume, better act well! and my work is SHIT! anyone good at Mathematica + TeX, PLEASE PLEASE help me.... i'm real real screwed -_- have to finish my coursework by next mon, and every night rehearsals.... and Dikir Barat practice starting tmr soon.... yeah HELP!

ok rehearsals started today, but not a very good start tho... was kinda stressful, some problems i dun think i should say here, also i think the seniors are so pro, i feel useless even when i'm the lead... feels weird =( they were all like contributing to the script, then i just sit there and stone... haha

but at least first time in my life i feel important, like they were all discussing bout how i should act, my lines since i'm the lead, and everything... and there was one part i found pretty amusing coz they were discussing different ways for me to fall down and get knocked out -_-" they really came up with lotsa ways... even with an apple falling out of nowhere inside the apartment and hitting my head... but think concluded that i should fall comically, so yeah gotta practice then ;)

still dunno what rushed into me to make me chiong for this part, and gave it everything i have haha... like a crazy rush of enthusiasm? dunno leh... but somehow now having this feeling that, the role was given to me, coz the senior gave it up... coz b4 the auditions was telling stuff like, tt it was unfair for him to act again since he acted in year 1 b4, so was thinking he wanted to give us chances only.... well, maybe thinking too much, but could well be true, coz he's a natural actor, can act damn well... hope the full crew get casted soon, then can start rehearsals proper...

anyway the script we found it too errrm... chim -_-" somehow after much explanation by the scriptwriter the cast managed to understand (tho i still a bit blur), but we seriously dun think the audience will.... intially was thinking just to let the intelligent understand, and the dumb laugh.... but at this rate, everyone will just laugh haha! so yeah gotta revise the script.... but somehow contributing to the script i can't really make it, i only can act out what u give me haha.... so well, let's see how it goes then ;) i wanna try summarising the script out here.... but i dun understand myself! HAHA!

well... tmr got more modelling rehearsals, and next week is acting rehearsals EVERY night... sad, but seriously dun mind.... get to know ppl, learn new skills, why not? haha.... hope everything turns out well then....

GOT THE ROLE!!!!

damn errrm.... exciting at first... coz my fren auditioned for it too, and a 3rd year also, then at first tot wah gone case.... they 2 got act b4 one, and i NEVER acted in my life, well if u dun consider the number of ppl i conned in my life as a count of my acting.... anyways tmr is a BUSY day, and think will be like this for 1/2 of this term, or maybe more coz m'sian nite on week 6.... rehearsals EVERY night! haiz.... aiyah exams, think later ;)

anyways tmr will be busy.... 5 lects, then have to go gym, then have to go modelling as indian, and rehearsals at same time... but luckily my "jie" daphne, the singsoc president knows the director for the play, then compromised for me to go half half haha.... then can go for both ^_^

wah things starting to look up this term, not as sian as first term liao... SO many things to do! then was damn happy coz somehow, everywhere i go see friends... when i'm bored, just go jynn's or michelle's or alin's room to play and talk cock.... if not will go my senior's room to train CS/watch movie, if not will go gym, then now need to memorise script, think bout who to copy my coursework from... wah lotsa work man! but i'm doing almost everything except academic work -_- not healthy... but WELL.... only one term lar, i promise! next term will cut things down, hopefully next year too! hehe.... and also, better go sleep first.... busy day tmr! oyasumi! wish me luck for my FIRST rehearsal tmr!

haha was called in for 2nd auditions today... this time it boiled down to me, my fren and a 3rd year... tough competition! but well... it's lead role, and big play too... well... think i did pretty ok this time, well 2nd auditions.... coz she said too hard to decide btw us 3, so had to audition again... well.... haha dunno what to say... wish me luck?

MUST do!! so off i cycled there, was given an indian costume, and will "model" as an indian.... GREATLY reminds me of national day celebrations in HC -_-"

anyway... woke up this morning at 8 to go for morning lect.... but somehow, amazingly managed to convince myself not to go for the lect... and i slept thru it! WTH! need to sleep earlier... oyasumi!! ;)

HAHAHA!!! I just did what could have been the CRAZIEST thing i ever did in my life.... i went to audition for the LEAD ROLE for Malaysian Nite performance just now.... HAHA!! FIRST time acting go for lead role... CRAZY! and it's not like some lame play... it's a BIG play, 40 mins +++, with huge audiences with m'sians coming from other UK unis... and some big shot from m'sia as well.... haha so it's real cool lar! and of coz TOTALLY not cool for me to audition lar! went there... say 3-4 lines, go off liaoz -_- so much competition some more.... HAHA! i still feeling a bit lame... coz it IS real lame!! hahaha!!!

but then again.... i know there's still that TINY LITTLE tinge of desire for that role lar.... like to be involved in such a big event, will get to make so many frens too, then act in front of big audience.... wah damn cool lor really ^_^ but then.... near impossible to get lar... HAHA

anyway.... if really get i'm screwed also... rehearsal is EVERY NIGHT, and i scheduled nights for gym, for which i paid 30 pounds for this term's membership.... if really get to act means have to sacrifice that, and also my term's timetable is NUTS.... friday got 4 lectures in a row... even Hwa Chong dun have lor!!! and they said uni more slack.... what crap -_- so aiyah.... there's good things whether i get the role or not lar.... anyway will know the results tmr, so will tell u guys tmr then ;) oyasumi!

when i met grace at airport, FIRST thing i told her was

really lor... damn sianz lor... stayed over at Grace's, then my 5 hours of pokemon on the plane just made me KO... and Grace sick somemore... then while ppl were counting down... we stayed in room and played around with camera... haiz... 2005 gonna be uneventful year hahaha!!

when i was at heathrow airport hor.... there was this path seperating to Departures and Arrivals... how i WISHED i was going to the departures lor.... like damn sad when i turned right towards Arrivals.... actually dunno why I dun like UK so much... only know that Home is always better...

trying to look forward to things now... there's Hwa Chong Nite where i may be going, there's Malaysian Nite, One World Week, lots of badminton coz i brot rackets + shuttlecocks, gym, and lots of mugging... well lotsa stuff to keep me occupied... but i miss FYMC =( you're my best buds! also there's edmund, yun ching, haiz... left all frens behind... HAIZ....

but what crap i going back in 10 weeks still complain... screw myself man

now jet lag... tho i'm tired, but body REFUSE to sleep -_- so end up playing CS whole night, lame man! and today supposed to study somemore.... wah DEAD... better not fail my exams

haha PAI SEH!! LONG time no blog haha... but well since i touched down, been going out whole day, gouging (how to spell?) myself silly with ASIAN food... playing games and everything haha!

talking bout food my appetite is going crazy... i eating a LOT... yest dinner at newton center with edmund, ate fried oyster, carrot cake, wu xiang (know those plates of fried stuff?), murtabak, chicken wings, satay, ice kacang, sugarcane juice.... and boy was i satisfied haha!

anyway chris lennon junyi came over my house to stay... then had lots of LAME fun with this REAL cool racing game called Burnout 3... a MUST-PLAY for all single and unwanted lamers who just need SOME form of entertainment in their lives... other games included Mortal Kombat (gory) and metal slug 4 (should have spent tt 6 ringgit on a meal) anyway i still think that guys outings are always the best haha! also got stupid things like chris dropping his miso soup on his bento set and having miso + watermelon and me falling down while walking past a bak kut teh stall... well, the usual crap u get with FYMC ;)

then had the usual lamenting session of life as unwanted individuals living in a society of attached beautiful (and not so) ppl.... haha somehow i look at looks, and by Melvin's Theory (yeah the one by Melvin Lee), all chio girls are attached, tt leaves us with nothing.... yeah life is unfair -_-" so take it...

but then again... i like single life haha! just live for yourself, and just for yourself, hang out with friends and talk bout anything u want... yeah it's not all bad ;) can even have regular trips to orchard with the guys for sightseeing... nice!

ok enuf of crap... now for the usual, blog-worthy, touching crap

papa brot us around old-aged homes to distribute red packets today... i brot a camera along, tot can do those u know damn artistic photos of old ppl... yeah right -_- anyway first few stops were fine, could go in take a few photos, smile with them, see their happy faces... nice ;)

then last stop visited this home for handicapped and unfortunate, well went in... then saw all the bed-ridden patients on the first floor, just lying there, breathing, some paralysed, some mentally disabled, well many reasons... then went 2nd level, all the mentally unsound patients, just running around aimlessly... the sight of all these was well... quite disturbing... can't help but pity them... haiz... my lens cap was on all the time

then i realized i'm an idiot... i actually had 2nd tots bout going into their rooms initially, somehow was turned off by it... like din wanna go in, couldn't help it lor... bastard right? but dun scold yet... coz i still went in... then i saw these 2 orphaned girls among all the other patients, was quite interesting coz well, they are really normal girls, like u and me... but somehow they live and play with them, in a community... was bout to say "wah life really unfair hor?" but somehow can see they aren't really unhappy in there... they dun have stress, no politics to deal with, well it's a hard life, but it's simple... yeah so not sure whether to say life is unfair for them anot

anyway tt's all i can crap today... haven done ANY assignments, better start doing... dun wanna go back UK! 31st december! boo hoo....

Saturday December 2004, 5.22pm

Now waiting at the departure gate for my flight, so lame carrying SO much stuff... chocolates, 24 doughnuts, 2 soft toys, laptop, chocolates (really a lot)... coz din really had time to put in luggage before checking in hehe.... but no matter, just chiong up plane, sleep on it and home sweet home!
anyway just now had a little screwup... kenaed a newbie to check in my flight, then she totally blur lor... coz i got open date ticket think she never see b4, then somehow thinks that there's no space on the flight for me, then made me wait so long... then somehow ended up with a window seat... SIAN! i NEED aisle seat... if not will die! aiyah sianz... and i carrying SO much stuff! lesson learnt....

oh and had a REALLY great time in London!! actually was supposed to go catch my flight, but i detoured and went to Imperial College to find Grace, and boy is london COOL! it's like... shopping everywhere, very cool brands (couldn't resist and bot a Topman sweater and scarf) and like COOL cars everywhere! haha! now i understand why they say Warwick is boring... coz it IS boring -_-" really NO life at all in warwick lor... haiz...

but then i think life in London also very rush rush, which is well, quite bad... ppl in warwick are mostly very nice and patient, polite and courteous as well, and there are very few cars in warwick too, and they drive nicely... but ppl in london think quite impatient, always rushing one damn sian... and the cars are cool but the drivers are FAST! so crossing roads can be quite stressful (as grace said) not like warwick, cars actually watch out for you, especially when ppl cycle too, always give way one... no such thing in london i suppose!!

well think that's the deal lar... city or country? somehow these two can almost never merge... somethings in life just never do haha...sad man

anyway gotta go (2 first class bastards just boarded the plane, man i hate rich ppl) gtg! have fun!!

well it's that day of the year again, but honestly speaking hor, i never felt anything for it one lar... it's just the day that happens to be 365x (x is a Natural Number) days from the day i was born, so never felt anything for it

but it never hurts to have a little something for it

remember last last year i had the HP Tag ppl to celebrate for me, was really really touched... in fact as far as i remember, among the first few times i celebrate my bday =)

well just now at 12am, michelle, jynn and vinod (her bf) came in with a very small bday cake, while i was playing CS... was really surprised, din know ppl actually bother to do something... well am touched lar... really! thanks guys!

well at first was thinking wah my bday sad right? like alone in room playing CS... really very jia lat -_- but then i dun go around telling the whole world my birthday lar so maybe tt's why hehe... but starting to think my social circle really kinda small, so maybe will try to do something bout it...

oh and went for Nottingham games for Malaysian Societies around UK today, haha so cool... warwick got 2nd overall, makes me wonder again... there are ppl who are good in sports, music, art, all sorta things... well i realized i really am good for nothing; my saxophone is crap, my sports is shit, my studies are so-so... i really am lame -_- not very good in making friends either... haha well, my bday and talking bout this -_- "

but that's why i wanna talk bout this... i WANT to CHANGE, and that's my bday wish! to be a better man... shall play badminton more often, cycle as well... shall bring my sax over and play regularly, to be a balanced person... oh and will carry on with gym too! support me ppl! thank you!

but then again, that's what i feel before EVERY exam, so well... sometimes humans just can't learn from mistakes right? you tell yourself, ok i'll do it better next time, i just gotta do it the 'correct' way the next time round, and somehow it never works! for example, in preparation for this test, any idiot knows playing HL2 and Need for Speed Underground2 isn't gonna help at all... haha!

but then again, the test is only A levels econs, tho there's an addition of Game Theory which is kinda abstract, did a few past yr qns, if all goes well, most prob can frag it lar ;)

and TOTALLY sia suied (embarassed) myself today... came out of seminar room, my fren told me "hey ur shirt's inside out" WTH... and i din even realize it! and while i was packing my stuff in the room, Sarah (kinda like my crush in the course -_-) was RIGHT behind me... HAIZ

first was the bike locking, then once i almost fell down on my bike, and now this...

ok so i gotta change myself, be a errrm... u know, those kinda ppl who just always gets things right, always looks so cool, never does stupid things and all... yeah i wanna be like that. top priority, need to be mature! somehow i'll be mature... firstly need to get rid of my kiddy look, and to do that, i'm visiting a salon to dye my hair first thing i reach home... and to get a better hairstyle, realized looks does count, was at the train station asking for a refund for my tix, and that lamer talked to me in such a snobbish, british accent... either he's racist, or he just doesn't wnana do a refund, or my looks dun deserve any little bit of respect ... somehow ppl still look upon me as a small boy, need to get out of that! along with better looks comes confidence, and that's what i truly need yeah...

haha followed good fren Jynn to her auntie's house for a weekend, at Buckinghamshire... and boy was it errrm, cool ;)

ok started off with a minor(more like major) screwup coz after buying the train tix, the guy told us train screwed up, and had to go to the Leamingon station to take instead... ok cool, i'll just go... delayed by one hour

oh b4 i proceed, Jynn really HATES going to aunt's place... she says they're real naggy, and VERY naggy, and like to talk bout stories over and over again... but then, her aunt cooks REAL well... so after starving like crap for 2 months, heck lar i just go with her...

reached station, uncle fetched us in his Mercedes... man good life here lor -_- then reached there... it was a REALLY nice house, VERY cosy living room, like those u see on TV tt kind! then 2 Beagles inside too... damn cute! show picture later... haha really nice place...

after that, we had the BEST meal in 2 months... Chicken curry, some roasted eggplant and salad. other meals included Tomyam soup, roast pork (personal favourite), braised duck, fried chicken... man she ROCKS! and she cooked so much coz i was coming ^_^

but then i started to realize what jynn was saying... yes they're REAL naggy, they say same stories over and over again... well, can't blame them really... they were malaysians 40+ yrs ago, but came over to study, and somehow got married at 22, stayed here for good... had a daughter, but the daughter kinda migrated to new york... and they're in their 60s now... can see they are just lonely, they dun have many frens nor relative here... then i understood why they are so errrm... enthusiaistic bout Jynn's life haha! and they treat the dogs like kids... they clean them very well, cuddle them a lot, and the dogs eat what they eat (which is really good food, and tt makes us (me and jynn) worse than dogs in Warwick) then can see they just want company... so i just went along listening to their stories, accompanied uncle to buy lottery(and hear more stories) and so on... yeah... somehow they have really liberal ideas, they're fine with their daughter leaving home and not coming back as long as she likes it, and was encouraging me and jynn to do likewise in a way... haha!

but then looking at them... a bit sympathetic lar... they only got dogs to accompany them, i think quite ke lian lor... maybe will try to go down more often if i can (and with the food, why not!) but then jynn really dun like staying there... well, maybe shall try persuading her ;) and somehow they really wanna have a son, and think they treat me really very very well somehow... haha! so i dun really mind lar hehe ^_^ but all in all, it's good to have more contacts around here... at least i have someone to turn to when i need yeah... and i sure they will enjoy mroe company! therefore.. i'll try to go more often hehe

Ladies and Gentlemen...(especially the Gents), Half Life 2 is FINALLY out... cheers everyone! and I must say... it's still as perfect as ever ^_^

no need to mention about graphics, coz EVERY MAN should know how cool it is! the physics engine, awesome... there's really lots of physics involved, can see bodies flying nicely, water splashing, lotsa stuff... SO life like! what the hell.... they're damn cool... think thrash Doom 3 hands down ;)

however i dun really like the enemy AI... must say really kinda dumb sometimes -_- ok it's cool that u can sneak up on them sometimes, that's kinda real, but sometimes they're really too easy to kill... i killed one whole bunch by running up to them and shotgun in the face, and sometimes i think the weapon i have really too darn powerful... there's this bug thing which i can summon, infinitely in selected locations, and they really own the place ;) haha! anyway... u HAVE to try this game!!

and there are also many themes for the game... like starting off u're at a urban area, as some kinda convict... then go into action, urban fighting, then end up at some ghost town with lotsa zombies (tt stage is lame, coz zombies are way slow, and can kill them with crowbars) then u're in Black Mesa doing some rescue work, then now i'm at some kinda prison... haha really touches on lotsa places, WAY cool!

ok so i'm like totally half living now... what bout studies? BAD... shit man playing game like dunno what, and lectures in afternoon, meaning i play game, THEN go for lecture.. how lame is tt? it's just weird lar... then i kinda lagging behind, haiz... but it's all coz of half life2 lar, but then again, how often does a major game that kept ppl waiting for 2 years launch? so okay lar... just make sure after i finish try to catch up, and pia big time for exam hehe...

which makes me wonder again.... why there are ppl who can just, study a little then do so well, then i study a little but dun do as well? why some ppl can think so logically, so analytically, then when i look at some chim problem i think bout terrorist coming? sianz man... life is unfair -_-

and also starting to think that my social circle very small, not like those who know the whole world like tt.... kinda sianz. tho i kinda agreed that having a small group of close frens beat having the whole world as acquaintances, but still.... knowing more ppl never hurts right? haiz... maybe just miss my frens back home too much -_- i can't find a close group of guys here, in fact, almost all my frens are girls! somehow very few guys here... then cannot talk guy stuff like what i used to do... HAIZ.... then cannot walk around, do stupid things... laugh till pengz that kinda stuff... haiz... i WANNA go home! 4th december! man this is the longest 16 days ever in my life!

and i starting to feel i'm damn dumb... not sure can get 1st class honours anot... must get lor, if not damn sia sui =( statistics is damn hard.... it's not just calculate the answer, u gotta calculate, then comment on the question, whether info is reliable anot, more info needed anot, that kinda stuff... which is damn hard =( or then again... maybe it's my brain ;)

hey it's my one hundreth entry!!! party party!!! haha and to celebrate my 100th.... i changed my room!! haha!! ok more like the other way round... i changed my room and celebrated my 100th... ok i just changed my room

ok reasons to change:
1) Cryfield 2 (my corridor) sucks! they are ALWAYS so noisy, and once some lamer got drunk, opened my door for fun, and when i locked it, he knocked on it for fun again -_- aiyah and the kitchen's always FULL, they just hang out there whole day dunno doing what, and to party lar of coz... aiyah just suck lar...

2) most imptly, my cooking frens are here! now i can just, go out and hey! it's a CLEAN kitchen, where my frens are here! and there are like 7 m'sians, and lots of asians... seriously makes me feel more at home lar ;)

so my resident tutor managed to get 2 rooms for me and my mate alin, so we are both moving here! haha cheers! well... i just moved here actually, transfered almost 100kg of stuff here with the help of the 2 girls... thanks gals! it was a REALLY stupid moment... have u had those times, when one group of ppl carrying LOTS of things, then somehow just feels funny the way everyone struggles to carry it? haha that's what i felt... DAMN lame! then we were carrying the stupidest of things... my pot of parsley (which i call Mrs Parsley) was among them... along with my water boiler and rice cooker + steamer... really laughed non-stop lor -_- but really funny lar... great to have frens here who lame around like that haha!

and now i've a GREAT room! tho my view is blocked by 2 trees, i still got quite alot of ventilation, and so still cold... which is nice for my fats. and also i dun need to close windows/curtains, which i hate doing so! so yeapz... like it here haha! damn happy now lor... with frens in the same hall really makes big diff!

and to reward myself for moving... shall go CS now! counting down 5 days to nov 16th.... must finish up ALL my homework by then ;) oyasumi!

pai sehz for not blogging for SO long... aiyah busy nowadays lar, lots of homework (accumulated from week3, now week 6), then got a lot of activity, badminton etc... haha having quite a lot of fun ;)

anyway had this informal lunch session with our personal tutors today, where food is provided and we were supposed to u know, chit chat and stuff... then was rather awkward coz there was nothing to talk bout... then the Prof Jacka started talking when someone asked "why are we studying Analysis when it's so pointless?" he started by saying okay well, these pointless things are actually the foundations of mathematics that we cannot do without, and to be able to analyse stuff, to make sure something is right and not wrong, to provide proof for things... then came the weird qn: " What is proof?" then another Prof John came in, and discussed also, then 2 other professors joined in... if u skipped reading the previous parts and came here u'll be lost... the topic came to "What exactly is proof?" then somehow it went to "Is the carpet blue?"... when they started to talk bout mathematics being a universal language... then somehow it went to using binary digits to communicate with aliens, then conclusion : we study analysis to talk to aliens

haha it's quite a intriguing experience sitting in between a few professors engaged in intellectual discussions, u just dunno what's going on... then the other tutees were there like *huh* then i was listening to what other groups were talking, were talking bout cooler stuff like weather today... haha but really quite cool lar, maybe someday i'll be like that, sitting back in an armchair talking intellectually with my dear FYMC... someday... as the President of FYMC I promise

anyway after the intellectual part... was in lecture. then halfway thru, this lady prof came in, at first i tot got another lame announcement... then realized hey she's carrying the helmet i saw on the bike i parked beside this morning... so qiao! then she asked " is there a cyclist in here who locked my bike to his?"when i heard that i was like *WTF* i din respond immediately, took me sometime to acknowledge the STUPID thing i did... when she left the LT... immediately chiong down the LT after her, the LT was laughing SO loud lor! at who? at ME! so sia sui! went out... apologized like crazy, unlocked the bike... was BOUT to open and go back thru the front door, but tot hey, that's suicide... so went all the way upstairs to go in by the back. din manage to sit back with stealthily... ppl were looking at me laughing lor... nvm lar, made a name for myself liaoz... i HAVE to sia sui myself at least once everywhere i go... TIAN AH!!!

aiyah... life is unfair, some ppl are just you know, zhai... do things all very cool, make a name for themselves as being cool... i make a name for myself by locking up my bike with another one... and some ppl have good looks, good brains... and i have none! haiz... life is unfair lor

anyway really into badminton now, sometimes even addicted, like cannot stop playing! haha... need to book courts more often ^_^ as for now... not sure when my next entry will be, but have fun mates! mata ne! oyasumi nasai!

cooking frenzy!

well i mentioned before that i'm losing weight here in warwick... well i had! and 6kg in 4 weeks is NUTS -_- i have to get back to my orginal/huge diet!! therefore.................

I'm COOKING.

well going about looking for recipes, asking ppl for tips and methods blah blah... had the greatest help from my cousin (thanks meiyu!!!) tot me how to steam fish, chicken, eggs, vegetables, all with a rice cooker! and i upgraded my rice cooker with a Universal STEAMER with 20, 18 and think 16 cm diameter... so i can start steaming! no no... i upgraded my laptop back at simlim, talking bout my rice cooker here

to cut the crap... my first attempt at steaming fish was disastrous, i placed a stupid piece of salmon (or stupid brain of mine) on a bowl in the rice cooker, and somehow the water overflowed and i had boiled fish, which was still nice, but not my idea of a MEAL... attempt 2: kinda failed coz i din bother thawing the fish before steaming, so while some parts were cooked, some parts still think they're in the North Pole... fine... attempt 3: gave up with fish for awhile, tried chicken with my frens, minced garlic, rubbed on chicken with salt, steam for 30 mins, and got my best meal in 4 weeks... thank you thank you!!!! i love my steamer... invested 5 pounds on it, and 5 pounds well spent ^_^

well there are many other recipes i can try with, steamed egg? steamed brocoli with oyster sauce? omelettes? yeah... pretty much know my stuff actually, too bad my kitchen's always full and can't be Chef Lee with my own stove and stuff, well will just have to make do with my favourite (and only) rice cooker upgraded with a steamer... cooking in my room, beside this laptop (at least now it smells like garlic ;) and occasional pasta stains)

and the smell of garlic? need to do something bout it... well tried spraying it with this odour remover, but now it's like i concocting some Garlic-flavoured perfume in my room... well who cares, ambi-pur doesn't like garlic... well at least vampires aren't coming into my room ;)

oh and sent an email to miss chen bout her wedding, think she had her wedding liaoz, so if u guys see her congrats her!

past few posts been complaining bout maths big time right? but yeah going nuts... after all that brain washing, somehow i kinda look forward to doing those lame assignments (no... not a geek yet) haha hopefully can carry on with this mindset!! that will really make my life better lor haha! and kinda yeah warmed up my brain liaoz... now can think more mathematically ;)

ok that's for my Foundations module... now for the Analysis module... initially tot it was u know, easy and kinda relaxing, not very hard... now i think it's lame -_- somehow u need to come up with a whole sheet of proof to prove that y=x tends to infinity as x increases.... wth??? then i like wah... awed by how they are so good at making things complex... then was just blindly copying the proofs, but the hardest part of the lectures? matching what u copy to what the lecturer wrote... maybe will post a pic of my notes next time ;) all symbols... -_-

still not very used to independent life yet somehow... still wanna go home! i miss you fitri!! (my maid) i sianz of washing plate haha! at least in my small sink... haiz... gonna change room, but like got lotsa frens here then dun feel like changing... shall just tahan for awhile more ;)

anyway guys i need opinion... i went to the bikeshop last weekend, tested a Raleigh bike with front suspension, and damn... it was love at first ride lor... really got big crush on that bike! so good! aluminium body then can just lift with one hand... then very good suspension.. very good build! and very good price! 200 pounds!!! go and die!! but then.... seriously tempted to get lor... so yeah any opinions? 200 pounds == 600 S$ btw...

the weather here is nuts... to summarise:

w = wind, s = sun
w=0, s=1 - can survive
w=1, s=1 - die
w=1, s=0 - die
w=2, s=0 - stay in room and CS

and the values change almost anytime, without warning... temp average bout 14 here? and guess what! it's NOT cold yet! it JUST started turning cold... the coldest is about feb-march next year, at that time can even play snowballs (hurray... not)

to cope with the weather, here is what i eat everyday.... 2 eggs (halfboiled), 2 sandwiches and a hot drink for breakfast, nothing for lunch mostly, rice/pasta for dinner... ok not really coping well, most prob will slim down... i hope ^_^ gonna get my bike soon, then gonna join badminton club + start swimming... HOPE can slim down haha! oyasumi!

it's funny why even after one week here... sometimes i just sit down and think, "hey is this gonna by my life for the next 2 months, or even the next 4 years?" having to live by myself... cook, clean, everything... independence yeah... but i certainly miss the days when i just sit down and eat and go watch TV -_- now have to think bout what to cook for dinner later... what to shop for, everything... so to all: APPRECIATE + RESPECT your mum/maid for goodness sake... and to those who do housechores, i salute you...

ok if i just u know, live by myself and do everything for myself still okay... but now got studies lor, like... was thinking if exams near, got time to cook? aiyah... sianz... but then i'm still speaking with the mind of a spoilt brat lar maybe... hope after sometime will get used to life this way yeah

anyway somehow one of the m'sian girl, michelle, haha treating me like a kid, keeps asking me if got food to eat anot, can survive anot... haha! rather amusing... come here still got big sister to look after me hehe...

still haven got time to go around school and take photos yet, coz went to coventry center today to get a bicycle, and boy it's BIG... crowded too hehe... but dun think i like it there, most prob will only go there if necessary, wun go there to play or anything...

haha since i'm at warwick... what else can i talk bout? warwick of course! ok as i said... really like it here, ppl are nice, so are the facilities hehe =D

the lecturers are really different from what u get in s'pore... my Foundations lecturer really animated one, then he was teaching induction... tho i already learnt induction, assuming i din know induction, i would have understood his lecture in half an hour rather than2/3 lectures back in hwa chong JC... he used lotsa stuff to explain, like he brot a set of dominoes to illustrate, many sorts of explanations which just makes his lecture idiot-proof... the same goes for stats lecture, and he really explain till very nice... far more from what i learnt back home ;)

then there's this lecturer... who tot us a game at the beginning of first lecture, so that when we get bored can just play that game -_- haha think he doesn't mind... coz that game stimulates brain, tho that lecture is 3D geom and i totally not interested... most likely taking stats

but somehow everywhere i go, i tell ppl "oh hi mate, i'm taking MORSE" morse is the course i'm taking lar... then they will like "wow", then say "good luck mate"... haha apparently MORSE is like among, if not, the toughest course in Warwick... but can see lar... all the ppl in my lecture super smart! so sianz... demoralizing -_- but nvm... shall catch up!

*my eggs are half boiled... shall go take breakfast first ;) *

but now in uni... have to get used to cooking for myself, which at first was an almost totally crazy idea =( was like thinking... what the hell! i have to cook? have to think bout what to cook during lecture... that's totally alien lor -_- then if got exam how? where got time to cook?

then after thinking... hey i'm really too pampered perhaps... ppl cook and wash up all the time mah, only lamers like me wait for meals, and eat and go game... so if i spare some time off from gaming, use that for cooking... voila i'm cooking! and also made arrangements with 2 very nice m'sians girls in the opposite block to cook together, so yeah... got partners ;)

but one problem is the folks on my level go party almost every night... haha initially couldn't stand the noise they make when they return, but now getting used to it liao... and i turn on music thruout the night, (thanks fymc for the wonderful speaker!!!) so just slept thru... but somehow cannot communicate and mix with angmohs, like different frequency hehe.... like i talked to the m'sian girls as if i know them before, which was quite cool lar... coming all the way here, it's very comforting to know ppl... ;)

anyway there's NOTHING on during the weekends... it's damn ex to go london, therefore i'm gonna *drum rolls* stone ^_^ but i dun mind really... it's like staying in hotel, study a bit... then slack slack, nice ;)

wah i din realized the sheer amount of comments on the tagboard... tho i think it's much better if u guys leave comments for each entry instead ;) easier to reply lehz... hehe... anyway let's start

sook: yeah it's really getting better... the first night when i arrived, maybe coz din sleep the night b4... then not in correct state of mind. then i arrived on sat night, first thing i saw was ppl partying... that was lame -_- and what's worse... nothing to eat coz cafes closed, then had to cook but no wok.... and no friends, dunno anyone at all... it was disastrous -_-

then starting to get better liao lar... neighbour's a m'sian, 3 s'poreans upstairs, 4 m'sians (very nice) opposite block, got to know the singapore society when i met Germaine, fren from HC too... and rachel from 02S69 (i swear i recognized her face, just din expect it's her haha) and a few other s'poreans taking MORSE too... and went with them for grocery shopping just now, yeah felt kinda at home too....

then had a rather nice chat with m'sian girl from opposite block, it was kinda lucky got to know her... coz i was just walking towards computer center to print some lame stuff then happened to see her with her folks... then somehow guessed either m'sian/s'porean... bingo ;)

one thing bout warwick... the environment is really, really good... the air is really nice coz less cars, and the buildings are clean and nice, the landscape is cool... the hostels sometimes u can just forget bout that "S" inside =D it's really really good... toilets clean, room cleans... haha and ppl are nice ;) cool teachers too... i would say it's really a good studying + living environment...

chin + van: i would really recommend van to study here... the prices are reasonable, and ppl are nice... and yeah it's just nice lar ;) if want to come over contact me hehe... or van got msn or anything? any qns just ask me lar....

ok so everything's nice, let's get back to what i was here for... STUDIES. attended first lecture today, not really much of a lecture... more like u know, intro... it's still fine, but the LT chair real comfy, very easy to just KO -_- lecturers, the old ones can be real boring tho... but the younger ones are really cool, can joke and everything... then yeah makes lessons much more interesting hehe... and what crap, wednesday got TEST... diagnostic TEST... TEST... i haven even studied! have to study later... now it's like u know, still no mood yet... coz well, still in process of adapting to life, and learning how to survive -_- but should be ok lar... differentiation, integration and trigo... hope can frag it ;)

haha at first was thinking what will i do when papa goes back... now like u know, looking forward to him going back... think it's not nice lar to impose on him... paid so much for me to come here liao, then still "suffering" with me... should go back and lead his businessman life lor haha... well but he flying back tmr.... so start of independence!

haiz... dunno whether to say i like it here anot -_- ok first day of arrival... CHAOS! maybe cause was carrying too much stuff... then even walking around becomes a chore -_-" luckily met a malaysian 3rd year senior, then shared cab with us to warwick... phew... then showed me around too, well kinda

then checked into room... instant reaction: I wanna go home. the room very small... then angmohs everywhere! i can't take this! then was like... still blurred, maybe coz din sleep too... then aiyah, just real blurred... then the cafes and shops closed, then realized hey, nothing to eat... then papa was there cooking maggi mee for me.. felt SO useless, then so lousy... just felt like shit. crap... anything. think almost cried liao haha! then was there unpacking... then heard my papa talking outside, then i heard a malay-accent english! wah!! got real excited! then papa opened door then there was this guy standing outside... and he's from JB haha! and he's my neighbour haha! u can't understand how how happy i was... like REALLY happy lor! changed my mood totally... then had a chat, he's a govt scholar from JB, and he stays in Tun Animah, very near me too... really was darn happy! like all the way here... another guy from JB, really comforting... then dropped plans to move to another hostel liao...

then had a much awaited sleep... but kepy thinking of flying back with my papa on tue =(:::

yeah it's absurd and cowardly to just u know... give up and fly back... but really can't help it =( maybe it's only temporary, maybe things will change when i make more friends... well i better do! it's tough... really... to go thru this alone... better go find more malaysians around and start forging bonds

well... left one day b4 flying... VERY scared -__- but then again, shall remember what i told myself... to chiong there with positive mindset!! that's the way to start it ;)

oh yeah been attending my grandma's wake so din really come online... she chose 海葬, sea burial... complicated. well but grandma's wish lar... so after 5 days of rituals, of which i stayed over on first and last night(which i think are most significant), went for cremation today, then took boat out to the sea and scatter the ashes... around esplanade the coast there, not there, as in far out, to the open sea...

when i think of my ahma will just go that place alone.... every 19th sept perhaps?

can't help feeling guilty... and kept thinking bout what she did when we were young... like when i was in pri school, she would buy food and wait for me when i recess, then when i come out she'll be there with food ready... she even knows the tuckshop vendors haha! then she'll bring us out to haw par villa, go airport eat food court, go zoo....

when thinking of this will cry one

then when i smell cigaratte will think of her... coz that time i'll be slacking somewhere, then she'll be there cooking things, or doing some other things while smoking...

and she travels alot... like when i go some places, i'll be thinking, hey ahma's been here most probably... and most prob she had ;) she really active... for her age... 79 lehz! ahma you rock!

and now she's gone... pai seh can't type anymore

flying on sat, chaos...

lots of things cropping up exactly one week before i fly... it really spoilt the mood lor, u know all the fear and excitement and everything... ok the NS problem is settled. the case was that... tho i'm a m'sian, and unluckily born in s'pore... s'pore being SO desperate (tongue-wagging) to increase their citizen count by ONE... forced me into NS. saying i have to go NS blah blah... hello? i have to fill the white card to enter s'pore with my passport lor... and "Booking in" isn't in any of the purposes of entry. and i got no place to stay in s'pore lor! what expect me to do? NSman by day, beggar by night... how on earth u expect a m'sian, to serve s'pore army??? they really lame lar hahaz... but settled liao lar, went to clarify

and well, grandma passed away... haiz

but i kinda recovering from all the trauma before flying... like wah, suddenly lots of things happen together... haiz... but i really miss my grandma

been having STUPID dreams nowadays... maybe that's part of the pre-departure for long distant education syndrome (PDFLDES)

dream one:
02S60 was horse-racing... each of us were jockeys (yes jeremy too) and jeremy won... and i was pissed coz my horse din move

shall say WTH later

dream two: i was making cup noodles in the MRT station, then went to toilet to wash hands and left the noodles somewhere. then this uncle came and took my noodles and claimed as his own... i was REALLY pissed, as in REAL pissed... then took a bunch of chopsticks and started whacking his head

WTH!!!! WTH!!! what kinda stupid dreams are these???? haha really stupid... ok dream one's crap, but dream two may be omen... someone's gonna take my stuff and claim as his own, and i'm gonna be even more pissed than a pregnant koala... better take care of my stuff

my decision to study in UK had brot me lots of stuff hehe... to list them
